First Betting Round

After dealing the hole cards Sam is the first player to act. He will get the prompts of FOLD – If Sam opts to fold he will withdraw from further participation in the current hand.
After Sam sees his hole cards, if he feels his cards are not good enough to play, he will fold.
CALL – If Sam opts to call he will need to put in the amount to equal the bet (i.e. $10)
RAISE – If Sam opts to raise he will put in $20 (i.e. call amount plus the lower limit)

Sam CALLS $10

The next player to act is Ann who will fold, call ($10) or raise ($20).

In Playwinpoker, there are five raises allowed in each betting round. i.e. bet, raise, re-raise, re-raise and a cap (cap is the last and final raise).

Ann CALLS $10

Now its Chris turn to act who will fold, call $10 or raise $20

Chris CALLS $10

Now Ron gets the prompts of fold, call $10 or raise $20.

Ron CALLS $10

A betting round ends when all the wagers are equal and every player has acted at least once (except all-in players). So, this round has not yet ended. Therefore, the next prompt for Juliet is fold, call $5 (as she has already put in a small blind of $5) or raise $20.

Juliet CALLS $5

Mike gets the following prompts – fold, check and raise $10 (he gets the option of check because he has already place $10 on the table)

Mike CHECKS

As soon as Mike checks, the round ends because the wages put in by all the players have equaled. The pot accumulated at the end of the first betting round is $60.
